   My first Guerlain experience was this one, Vetiver (2000). The base rests on Vetiver and Oakmoss — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Tobacco peeking through, very much my kind of start. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I have owned Vetiver for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. As it settles, Vetiver and Oakmoss come through and give it real depth. The base rests on Vetiver and Oakmoss — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I would happily buy a full bottle.

The heart is the best part for me: Vetiver and Pepper feel carefully balanced. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

Right away I get mostly Bergamot alongside Tobacco, fresh and very easy to wear. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I have owned Vetiver for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Give it a little time and Vetiver with Pepper comes forward — smooth and well done. Right away I get mostly Bergamot alongside Tobacco, fresh and very easy to wear. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I wanted to like it more than I did.
