   A decant of Soir de Lune sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into May Rose with Mimosa, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: May Rose and Mimosa feel carefully balanced. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   Picked up a sample of Soir de Lune after reading the community buzz (2006). The first minutes are all about Coriander with a hint of Pepper Oil — it grabs attention without being pushy. The opening is built around Coriander and Pepper Oil — bright and immediately recognizable. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   I have owned Soir de Lune for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The drydown leans on Honey plus Oakmoss and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The very first sniff is crisp Coriander with Pepper Oil peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   A friend passed me a decant of Soir de Lune (2006) and I wasn’t prepared for it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into May Rose with Mimosa, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Coriander/Pepper Oil impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   I’ve been wearing Soir de Lune on and off for a few weeks now (2006). Give it a little time and May Rose with Mimosa comes forward — smooth and well done. The first minutes are all about Coriander with a hint of Pepper Oil — it grabs attention without being pushy. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   I’ve been wearing Soir de Lune on and off for a few weeks now (2006). The very first sniff is crisp Coriander with Pepper Oil peeking through, very much my kind of start. Right away I get mostly Coriander alongside Pepper Oil, fresh and very easy to wear. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.
