   Everyone keeps talking about Queens & Monsters, so I finally gave it a proper test. Right away I get mostly Petitgrain alongside Violet Leaf, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Petitgrain with a hint of Violet Leaf — it grabs attention without being pushy. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. The composition is well made but not for me.

   I have owned Queens & Monsters for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. As it settles, Sandalwood and Vanilla Bean come through and give it real depth. The drydown leans on Sandalwood plus Vanilla Bean and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   Henry Rose knows how to compose, and Queens & Monsters (2020) is proof. The heart is the best part for me: Jasmine and Freesia feel carefully balanced. As it settles, Sandalwood and Vanilla Bean come through and give it real depth. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   My first Henry Rose experience was this one, Queens & Monsters (2020). The first minutes are all about Petitgrain with a hint of Violet Leaf — it grabs attention without being pushy. That first spray gives a lovely Petitgrain/Violet Leaf impression that dries down smoothly. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Queens & Monsters. The drydown leans on Sandalwood plus Vanilla Bean and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Petitgrain and Violet Leaf — bright and immediately recognizable. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   Henry Rose knows how to compose, and Queens & Monsters (2020) is proof. Give it a little time and Jasmine with Freesia comes forward — smooth and well done. The very first sniff is crisp Petitgrain with Violet Leaf peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
