   My first Hermès experience was this one, Kelly Calèche (2007). Right away I get mostly Grapefruit alongside Narcissus, fresh and very easy to wear. Give it a little time and Rose with Mimosa comes forward — smooth and well done. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. The composition is well made but not for me.

   For a 2007 release, Kelly Calèche deserves more attention than it gets. The first minutes are all about Grapefruit with a hint of Narcissus — it grabs attention without being pushy. Right away I get mostly Grapefruit alongside Narcissus, fresh and very easy to wear. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I keep reaching for Kelly Calèche more than I expected to. The base rests on Leather and Iris — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown leans on Leather plus Iris and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

Give it a little time and Rose with Mimosa comes forward — smooth and well done. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

As it settles, Leather and Iris come through and give it real depth. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
