   A friend passed me a decant of Rocabar (1998) and I wasn’t prepared for it. That first spray gives a lovely Cedar Essence/Juniper impression that dries down smoothly. Give it a little time and Italian Cypress with Cedar comes forward — smooth and well done. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   Everyone keeps talking about Rocabar, so I finally gave it a proper test. The opening is built around Cedar Essence and Juniper — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Cedar Essence/Juniper impression that dries down smoothly. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   I’ve been wearing Rocabar on and off for a few weeks now (1998). The opening is built around Cedar Essence and Juniper — bright and immediately recognizable. The very first sniff is crisp Cedar Essence with Juniper peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   Picked up a sample of Rocabar after reading the community buzz (1998). The very first sniff is crisp Cedar Essence with Juniper peeking through, very much my kind of start. The opening is built around Cedar Essence and Juniper — bright and immediately recognizable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   I keep reaching for Rocabar more than I expected to. The base rests on Canada Balsam and Benzoin — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The heart is the best part for me: Italian Cypress and Cedar feel carefully balanced. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   A decant of Rocabar sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. Right away I get mostly Cedar Essence alongside Juniper, fresh and very easy to wear. The base rests on Canada Balsam and Benzoin — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   A couple of wears in, Rocabar has really grown on me. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Italian Cypress with Cedar, which is where the fragrance really shines. Right away I get mostly Cedar Essence alongside Juniper, fresh and very easy to wear. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.
