   I picked up Sun (1989) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The first minutes are all about Fruity Notes with a hint of African Orange Flower — it grabs attention without being pushy. The heart is the best part for me: Ylang-Ylang and Heliotrope feel carefully balanced. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   I picked up Sun (1989) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The drydown leans on Vanille plus Benzoin and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Fruity Notes and African Orange Flower — bright and immediately recognizable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   A decant of Sun sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The base rests on Vanille and Benzoin — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Vanille and Benzoin come through and give it real depth. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   My first Jil Sander experience was this one, Sun (1989). The base rests on Vanille and Benzoin — warm, grounded and easy to live with. That first spray gives a lovely Fruity Notes/African Orange Flower impression that dries down smoothly. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   A friend passed me a decant of Sun (1989) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Give it a little time and Ylang-Ylang with Heliotrope comes forward — smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Ylang-Ylang with Heliotrope, which is where the fragrance really shines. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
