   Katy Perry knows how to compose, and Mad Potion (2015) is proof. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Bourbon Vanilla with Musk, which is where the fragrance really shines. The very first sniff is crisp Vanilla Orchid with Apple peeking through, very much my kind of start. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I’ve been wearing Mad Potion on and off for a few weeks now (2015). The base rests on Vanilla and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The opening is built around Vanilla Orchid and Apple — bright and immediately recognizable. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

    I have owned Mad Potion for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. That first spray gives a lovely Vanilla Orchid/Apple impression that dries down smoothly. I wanted to like it more than I did.
