   A decant of Power sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The base rests on Tolu Balsam and Labdanum — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Flowers, which is where the fragrance really shines. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   A decant of Power sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The drydown leans on Tolu Balsam plus Labdanum and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The very first sniff is crisp Coriander with Cardamon peeking through, very much my kind of start. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I wanted to like it more than I did.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Flowers, which is where the fragrance really shines. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I’ve been wearing Power on and off for a few weeks now (2008). The opening is built around Coriander and Cardamon — bright and immediately recognizable. The heart is the best part for me: Flowers feel carefully balanced. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.
