   For a 2025 release, Petra deserves more attention than it gets. The very first sniff is crisp Rum with Plum peeking through, very much my kind of start. As it settles, Vanilla and Musk come through and give it real depth. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   My first Lattafa Perfumes experience was this one, Petra (2025). As it settles, Vanilla and Musk come through and give it real depth. The base rests on Vanilla and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I keep reaching for Petra more than I expected to. The opening is built around Rum and Plum — bright and immediately recognizable. Right away I get mostly Rum alongside Plum, fresh and very easy to wear. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   Everyone keeps talking about Petra, so I finally gave it a proper test. That first spray gives a lovely Rum/Plum impression that dries down smoothly. Give it a little time and Tuberose with Coconut comes forward — smooth and well done. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   Lattafa Perfumes knows how to compose, and Petra (2025) is proof. The first minutes are all about Rum with a hint of Plum — it grabs attention without being pushy. That first spray gives a lovely Rum/Plum impression that dries down smoothly. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.
