   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Yara Candy. Right away I get mostly Black Currant alongside Green tangerine, fresh and very easy to wear. That first spray gives a lovely Black Currant/Green tangerine impression that dries down smoothly. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   A friend passed me a decant of Yara Candy (2024) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The heart is the best part for me: Strawberry Fizz Candy and Gardenia feel carefully balanced. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   My first Lattafa Perfumes experience was this one, Yara Candy (2024). As it settles, Vanilla and Musk come through and give it real depth. The opening is built around Black Currant and Green tangerine — bright and immediately recognizable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

The first minutes are all about Black Currant with a hint of Green tangerine — it grabs attention without being pushy. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.
