   I keep reaching for Studied more than I expected to. The heart is the best part for me: Iris and Carrot feel carefully balanced. As it settles, Ambroxan and Cashmeran come through and give it real depth. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I picked up Studied (2020) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The opening is built around Pear and Ambrette (Musk Mallow) — bright and immediately recognizable. The very first sniff is crisp Pear with Ambrette (Musk Mallow) peeking through, very much my kind of start. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   A decant of Studied sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Iris with Carrot, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Iris and Carrot feel carefully balanced. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Studied. That first spray gives a lovely Pear/Ambrette (Musk Mallow) impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown leans on Ambroxan plus Cashmeran and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   A friend passed me a decant of Studied (2020) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Right away I get mostly Pear alongside Ambrette (Musk Mallow), fresh and very easy to wear. Give it a little time and Iris with Carrot comes forward — smooth and well done. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. The composition is well made but not for me.
