   A couple of wears in, Pansy has really grown on me. Give it a little time and Blackberry with Floral Notes comes forward — smooth and well done. The base rests on Galbanum and Labdanum — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   My first Lush experience was this one, Pansy (1993). The opening is built around Rosemary and Orange Blossom — bright and immediately recognizable. As it settles, Galbanum and Labdanum come through and give it real depth. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   I have owned Pansy for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The first minutes are all about Rosemary with a hint of Orange Blossom — it grabs attention without being pushy. The very first sniff is crisp Rosemary with Orange Blossom peeking through, very much my kind of start. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   For a 1993 release, Pansy deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Blackberry with Floral Notes, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Blackberry and Floral Notes feel carefully balanced. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I wanted to like it more than I did.
