   A couple of wears in, Note Vanillée has really grown on me. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. The first minutes are all about Mandarin Orange with a hint of Citruses — it grabs attention without being pushy. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   My first M. Micallef experience was this one, Note Vanillée (2022). That first spray gives a lovely Mandarin Orange/Citruses impression that dries down smoothly. The heart is the best part for me: Jasmine feel carefully balanced. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   A decant of Note Vanillée sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. Right away I get mostly Mandarin Orange alongside Citruses, fresh and very easy to wear. That first spray gives a lovely Mandarin Orange/Citruses impression that dries down smoothly. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I’ve been wearing Note Vanillée on and off for a few weeks now (2022). The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Rum and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. That first spray gives a lovely Mandarin Orange/Citruses impression that dries down smoothly. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. The composition is well made but not for me.
