   A decant of Watch sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Tuberose with Ylang-Ylang, which is where the fragrance really shines. The first minutes are all about Peach with a hint of Plum — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   M. Micallef knows how to compose, and Watch (2002) is proof. The first minutes are all about Peach with a hint of Plum — it grabs attention without being pushy. The very first sniff is crisp Peach with Plum peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I keep reaching for Watch more than I expected to. Give it a little time and Tuberose with Ylang-Ylang comes forward — smooth and well done. The opening is built around Peach and Plum — bright and immediately recognizable. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I have owned Watch for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The heart is the best part for me: Tuberose and Ylang-Ylang feel carefully balanced. That first spray gives a lovely Peach/Plum impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   For a 2002 release, Watch deserves more attention than it gets. The base rests on Vanilla and White Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The first minutes are all about Peach with a hint of Plum — it grabs attention without being pushy. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   My first M. Micallef experience was this one, Watch (2002). Give it a little time and Tuberose with Ylang-Ylang comes forward — smooth and well done. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus White Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

As it settles, Vanilla and White Musk come through and give it real depth. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

Right away I get mostly Peach alongside Plum, fresh and very easy to wear. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.
