   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Blockade. The very first sniff is crisp Mango with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. The heart is the best part for me: Mango Blossom and Lavender feel carefully balanced. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   I keep reaching for Blockade more than I expected to. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Mango Blossom with Lavender, which is where the fragrance really shines. Give it a little time and Mango Blossom with Lavender comes forward — smooth and well done. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

Right away I get mostly Mango alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

The base rests on Suede and Agarwood (Oud) — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.
