   For a 2008 release, Vanille Absolu deserves more attention than it gets. The heart is the best part for me: Vanilla and Cinnamon feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Vanilla with Cinnamon comes forward — smooth and well done. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   I picked up Vanille Absolu (2008) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The heart is the best part for me: Vanilla and Cinnamon feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Vanilla with Cinnamon, which is where the fragrance really shines. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.
