   A friend passed me a decant of Femme Individuelle (2004) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Lotus feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose with Lotus, which is where the fragrance really shines. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   Montblanc knows how to compose, and Femme Individuelle (2004) is proof. The base rests on Patchouli and Vanilla — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Lotus feel carefully balanced. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   I’ve been wearing Femme Individuelle on and off for a few weeks now (2004). The opening is built around Pink Pepper and Red Currant — bright and immediately recognizable. The first minutes are all about Pink Pepper with a hint of Red Currant — it grabs attention without being pushy. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   I have owned Femme Individuelle for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The first minutes are all about Pink Pepper with a hint of Red Currant — it grabs attention without being pushy. The very first sniff is crisp Pink Pepper with Red Currant peeking through, very much my kind of start. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I would happily buy a full bottle.

The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Lotus feel carefully balanced. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   A decant of Femme Individuelle sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Vanilla and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Give it a little time and Rose with Lotus comes forward — smooth and well done. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.
