   Everyone keeps talking about Glamour, so I finally gave it a proper test. The very first sniff is crisp Tangerine Blossom with Salt peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown leans on Amber plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   I have owned Glamour for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The opening is built around Tangerine Blossom and Salt — bright and immediately recognizable. The heart is the best part for me: Hibiscus and Orchid feel carefully balanced. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I keep reaching for Glamour more than I expected to. Give it a little time and Hibiscus with Orchid comes forward — smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Hibiscus with Orchid, which is where the fragrance really shines. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

That first spray gives a lovely Tangerine Blossom/Salt impression that dries down smoothly. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

The composition is well made but not for me.

    For a 2008 release, Glamour deserves more attention than it gets. The base rests on Amber and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Give it a little time and Hibiscus with Orchid comes forward — smooth and well done. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
