   A friend passed me a decant of Alien Eau Sublime (2017) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The drydown leans on Cashmeran plus White Amber and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The very first sniff is crisp Lemon with Solar Notes peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   A friend passed me a decant of Alien Eau Sublime (2017) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The very first sniff is crisp Lemon with Solar Notes peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Lemon with a hint of Solar Notes — it grabs attention without being pushy. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   I picked up Alien Eau Sublime (2017) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Give it a little time and Jasmine with Tiare Flower comes forward — smooth and well done. The base rests on Cashmeran and White Amber — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

As it settles, Cashmeran and White Amber come through and give it real depth. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.
