A friend passed me a decant of Lumière Blanche (2012) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Right away I get mostly Cardamom alongside Star Anise, fresh and very easy to wear. That first spray gives a lovely Cardamom/Star Anise impression that dries down smoothly. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Lumière Blanche. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Almond with Cashmere Wood, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Cardamom/Star Anise impression that dries down smoothly. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

I’ve been wearing Lumière Blanche on and off for a few weeks now (2012). The first minutes are all about Cardamom with a hint of Star Anise — it grabs attention without being pushy. The very first sniff is crisp Cardamom with Star Anise peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

A friend passed me a decant of Lumière Blanche (2012) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The very first sniff is crisp Cardamom with Star Anise peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown leans on Sandalwood plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

I’ve been wearing Lumière Blanche on and off for a few weeks now (2012). The drydown leans on Sandalwood plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Give it a little time and Almond with Cashmere Wood comes forward — smooth and well done. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

I keep reaching for Lumière Blanche more than I expected to. The opening is built around Cardamom and Star Anise — bright and immediately recognizable. Give it a little time and Almond with Cashmere Wood comes forward — smooth and well done. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

A couple of wears in, Lumière Blanche has really grown on me. The opening is built around Cardamom and Star Anise — bright and immediately recognizable. The heart is the best part for me: Almond and Cashmere Wood feel carefully balanced. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

A friend passed me a decant of Lumière Blanche (2012) and I wasn’t prepared for it. As it settles, Sandalwood and Musk come through and give it real depth. Right away I get mostly Cardamom alongside Star Anise, fresh and very easy to wear. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

For a 2012 release, Lumière Blanche deserves more attention than it gets. The very first sniff is crisp Cardamom with Star Anise peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Almond with Cashmere Wood, which is where the fragrance really shines. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I wanted to like it more than I did.

My first Olfactive Studio experience was this one, Lumière Blanche (2012). The heart is the best part for me: Almond and Cashmere Wood feel carefully balanced. Right away I get mostly Cardamom alongside Star Anise, fresh and very easy to wear. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
