   Picked up a sample of Freya after reading the community buzz (2002). Give it a little time and Wildflowers with Green Notes comes forward — smooth and well done. The opening is built around Sea Notes and Citruses — bright and immediately recognizable. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   A couple of wears in, Freya has really grown on me. The base rests on Cedar and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. That first spray gives a lovely Sea Notes/Citruses impression that dries down smoothly. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   A friend passed me a decant of Freya (2002) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The heart is the best part for me: Wildflowers and Green Notes feel carefully balanced. As it settles, Cedar and Patchouli come through and give it real depth. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   Everyone keeps talking about Freya, so I finally gave it a proper test. The base rests on Cedar and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Cedar and Patchouli come through and give it real depth. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   I keep reaching for Freya more than I expected to. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Wildflowers with Green Notes, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown leans on Cedar plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I would happily buy a full bottle.

Right away I get mostly Sea Notes alongside Citruses, fresh and very easy to wear. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

As it settles, Cedar and Patchouli come through and give it real depth. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.
