   A decant of Possess sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. As it settles, Madagascar Vanilla and Patchouli come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Ylang-Ylang with Orange Blossom, which is where the fragrance really shines. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I keep reaching for Possess more than I expected to. The very first sniff is crisp Pineapple with Grapefruit peeking through, very much my kind of start. The base rests on Madagascar Vanilla and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I’ve been wearing Possess on and off for a few weeks now (2014). The opening is built around Pineapple and Grapefruit — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Pineapple/Grapefruit impression that dries down smoothly. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   I’ve been wearing Possess on and off for a few weeks now (2014). The drydown leans on Madagascar Vanilla plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The heart is the best part for me: Ylang-Ylang and Orange Blossom feel carefully balanced. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   My first Oriflame experience was this one, Possess (2014). Right away I get mostly Pineapple alongside Grapefruit, fresh and very easy to wear. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

The opening is built around Pineapple and Grapefruit — bright and immediately recognizable. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   I picked up Possess (2014) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. That first spray gives a lovely Pineapple/Grapefruit impression that dries down smoothly. The base rests on Madagascar Vanilla and Patchouli — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.
