A decant of Osmanthus sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. As it settles, Musk and Vetiver come through and give it real depth. The first minutes are all about Pomelo with a hint of Artemisia β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

I have owned Osmanthus for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The very first sniff is crisp Pomelo with Artemisia peeking through, very much my kind of start. The base rests on Musk and Vetiver β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Well done β€” recommended if the notes appeal to you.

Everyone keeps talking about Osmanthus, so I finally gave it a proper test. The heart is the best part for me: Osmanthus and Water Lily feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Osmanthus with Water Lily comes forward β€” smooth and well done. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I wanted to like it more than I did.

Ormonde Jayne knows how to compose, and Osmanthus (2006) is proof. As it settles, Musk and Vetiver come through and give it real depth. Give it a little time and Osmanthus with Water Lily comes forward β€” smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

I’ve been wearing Osmanthus on and off for a few weeks now (2006). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Osmanthus with Water Lily, which is where the fragrance really shines. Give it a little time and Osmanthus with Water Lily comes forward β€” smooth and well done. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

For a 2006 release, Osmanthus deserves more attention than it gets. That first spray gives a lovely Pomelo/Artemisia impression that dries down smoothly. I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Osmanthus. As it settles, Musk and Vetiver come through and give it real depth. The drydown leans on Musk plus Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

As it settles, Musk and Vetiver come through and give it real depth. It performs better in warmer weather β€” in the heat it opens up nicely. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

I picked up Osmanthus (2006) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The first minutes are all about Pomelo with a hint of Artemisia β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Osmanthus with Water Lily, which is where the fragrance really shines. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I wanted to like it more than I did.

Picked up a sample of Osmanthus after reading the community buzz (2006). Right away I get mostly Pomelo alongside Artemisia, fresh and very easy to wear. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

For a 2006 release, Osmanthus deserves more attention than it gets. The opening is built around Pomelo and Artemisia β€” bright and immediately recognizable. Right away I get mostly Pomelo alongside Artemisia, fresh and very easy to wear. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

My first Ormonde Jayne experience was this one, Osmanthus (2006). The heart is the best part for me: Osmanthus and Water Lily feel carefully balanced. Right away I get mostly Pomelo alongside Artemisia, fresh and very easy to wear. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. The composition is well made but not for me.
