   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Wazamba. Give it a little time and Myrrh with Olibanum comes forward — smooth and well done. As it settles, Incense and Resin come through and give it real depth. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   A decant of Wazamba sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. That first spray gives a lovely Incense/Cypress impression that dries down smoothly. The heart is the best part for me: Myrrh and Olibanum feel carefully balanced. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   A friend passed me a decant of Wazamba (2009) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The drydown leans on Incense plus Resin and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. As it settles, Incense and Resin come through and give it real depth. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   I picked up Wazamba (2009) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The opening is built around Incense and Cypress — bright and immediately recognizable. The first minutes are all about Incense with a hint of Cypress — it grabs attention without being pushy. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

The opening is built around Incense and Cypress — bright and immediately recognizable. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

As it settles, Incense and Resin come through and give it real depth. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

    I have owned Wazamba for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Right away I get mostly Incense alongside Cypress, fresh and very easy to wear. The very first sniff is crisp Incense with Cypress peeking through, very much my kind of start. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I wanted to like it more than I did.
