   Picked up a sample of Castley after reading the community buzz (2025). The opening is built around Bergamot and Black Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown leans on Akigalawood® plus Labdanum and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   A decant of Castley sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The base rests on Akigalawood® and Labdanum — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The heart is the best part for me: Pepper and Neroli feel carefully balanced. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   A couple of wears in, Castley has really grown on me. The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Black Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. The base rests on Akigalawood® and Labdanum — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   I’ve been wearing Castley on and off for a few weeks now (2025). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Pepper with Neroli, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Bergamot/Black Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

Right away I get mostly Bergamot alongside Black Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   My first Parfums de Marly experience was this one, Castley (2025). As it settles, Akigalawood® and Labdanum come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Pepper with Neroli, which is where the fragrance really shines. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.
