   I have owned Perseus for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The very first sniff is crisp Grapefruit with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. As it settles, Ambergris and Cashmere Wood come through and give it real depth. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   My first Parfums de Marly experience was this one, Perseus (2024). Right away I get mostly Grapefruit alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Green mandarin orange with Vetiver, which is where the fragrance really shines. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. The composition is well made but not for me.

   A friend passed me a decant of Perseus (2024) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The heart is the best part for me: Green mandarin orange and Vetiver feel carefully balanced. Right away I get mostly Grapefruit alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   A decant of Perseus sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The very first sniff is crisp Grapefruit with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. The heart is the best part for me: Green mandarin orange and Vetiver feel carefully balanced. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
