   My first Phlur experience was this one, Vanilla Skin (2023). The base rests on Vanilla and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   I’ve been wearing Vanilla Skin on and off for a few weeks now (2023). Give it a little time and Cashmere Wood with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. As it settles, Vanilla and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   A friend passed me a decant of Vanilla Skin (2023) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The heart is the best part for me: Cashmere Wood and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. That first spray gives a lovely Sugar/Pink Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   Phlur knows how to compose, and Vanilla Skin (2023) is proof. As it settles, Vanilla and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. The heart is the best part for me: Cashmere Wood and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   I keep reaching for Vanilla Skin more than I expected to. The very first sniff is crisp Sugar with Pink Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Cashmere Wood with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.
