   For a 2024 release, Vanilla Skin deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Cashmere Wood with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I’ve been wearing Vanilla Skin on and off for a few weeks now (2024). The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Right away I get mostly Sugar alongside Pink Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   A decant of Vanilla Skin sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. As it settles, Vanilla and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Cashmere Wood with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   A couple of wears in, Vanilla Skin has really grown on me. The very first sniff is crisp Sugar with Pink Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. That first spray gives a lovely Sugar/Pink Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   My first Phlur experience was this one, Vanilla Skin (2024). The opening is built around Sugar and Pink Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Sugar/Pink Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I have owned Vanilla Skin for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. That first spray gives a lovely Sugar/Pink Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. As it settles, Vanilla and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

    My first Phlur experience was this one, Vanilla Skin (2024). The base rests on Vanilla and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Right away I get mostly Sugar alongside Pink Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.
