   For a 1970 release, Eau de Rochas deserves more attention than it gets. As it settles, Oakmoss and Vetiver come through and give it real depth. That first spray gives a lovely Lime/Lemon impression that dries down smoothly. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   A couple of wears in, Eau de Rochas has really grown on me. The very first sniff is crisp Lime with Lemon peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Lime with a hint of Lemon — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

The drydown leans on Oakmoss plus Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Coriander with Patchouli, which is where the fragrance really shines. The very first sniff is crisp Lime with Lemon peeking through, very much my kind of start. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I would happily buy a full bottle.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Coriander with Patchouli, which is where the fragrance really shines. Give it a little time and Coriander with Patchouli comes forward — smooth and well done. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

The composition is well made but not for me.
