   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Tocade. As it settles, Vanilla and Amber come through and give it real depth. The opening is built around Geranium and Freesia — bright and immediately recognizable. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   For a 1994 release, Tocade deserves more attention than it gets. Give it a little time and Rose with Iris comes forward — smooth and well done. The first minutes are all about Geranium with a hint of Freesia — it grabs attention without being pushy. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I wanted to like it more than I did.

The first minutes are all about Geranium with a hint of Freesia — it grabs attention without being pushy. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I have owned Tocade for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The opening is built around Geranium and Freesia — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Amber and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

As it settles, Vanilla and Amber come through and give it real depth. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

As it settles, Vanilla and Amber come through and give it real depth. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose with Iris, which is where the fragrance really shines. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Iris feel carefully balanced. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.
