   Picked up a sample of Maroussia after reading the community buzz (1992). That first spray gives a lovely Aldehydes/Orange Blossom impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown leans on Civet plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

The drydown leans on Civet plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying.    A decant of Maroussia sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The base rests on Civet and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Right away I get mostly Aldehydes alongside Orange Blossom, fresh and very easy to wear. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

The first minutes are all about Aldehydes with a hint of Orange Blossom — it grabs attention without being pushy. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   Everyone keeps talking about Maroussia, so I finally gave it a proper test. The very first sniff is crisp Aldehydes with Orange Blossom peeking through, very much my kind of start. Give it a little time and Carnation with Ylang-Ylang comes forward — smooth and well done. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.
