   I’ve been wearing Violet Blonde on and off for a few weeks now (2011). The drydown leans on Suede plus Benzoin and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Violet Leaf and Pink Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   My first Tom Ford experience was this one, Violet Blonde (2011). That first spray gives a lovely Violet Leaf/Pink Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. The very first sniff is crisp Violet Leaf with Pink Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

The base rests on Suede and Benzoin — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   Picked up a sample of Violet Blonde after reading the community buzz (2011). The very first sniff is crisp Violet Leaf with Pink Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. Give it a little time and Iris with Orris Root comes forward — smooth and well done. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Iris with Orris Root, which is where the fragrance really shines. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

The very first sniff is crisp Violet Leaf with Pink Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I wanted to like it more than I did.

    My first Tom Ford experience was this one, Violet Blonde (2011). The heart is the best part for me: Iris and Orris Root feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Iris with Orris Root comes forward — smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.
