   Trussardi knows how to compose, and Trussardi (1984) is proof. Give it a little time and Orris Root with Geranium comes forward — smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Orris Root and Geranium feel carefully balanced. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I have owned Trussardi for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. That first spray gives a lovely Galbanum/Aldehydes impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Galbanum alongside Aldehydes, fresh and very easy to wear. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I’ve been wearing Trussardi on and off for a few weeks now (1984). As it settles, Oakmoss and Leather come through and give it real depth. The base rests on Oakmoss and Leather — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   A couple of wears in, Trussardi has really grown on me. The very first sniff is crisp Galbanum with Aldehydes peeking through, very much my kind of start. Give it a little time and Orris Root with Geranium comes forward — smooth and well done. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   A friend passed me a decant of Trussardi (1984) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Give it a little time and Orris Root with Geranium comes forward — smooth and well done. The base rests on Oakmoss and Leather — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Trussardi. The first minutes are all about Galbanum with a hint of Aldehydes — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown leans on Oakmoss plus Leather and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.
