   Picked up a sample of Valentina Assoluto after reading the community buzz (2012). The base rests on Patchouli and Oakmoss — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The first minutes are all about Truffle with a hint of Peach — it grabs attention without being pushy. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I picked up Valentina Assoluto (2012) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The heart is the best part for me: Madagascar Vanilla and Tuberose feel carefully balanced. The first minutes are all about Truffle with a hint of Peach — it grabs attention without being pushy. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   A friend passed me a decant of Valentina Assoluto (2012) and I wasn’t prepared for it. As it settles, Patchouli and Oakmoss come through and give it real depth. The base rests on Patchouli and Oakmoss — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I would happily buy a full bottle.

Give it a little time and Madagascar Vanilla with Tuberose comes forward — smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Madagascar Vanilla with Tuberose, which is where the fragrance really shines. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

    For a 2012 release, Valentina Assoluto deserves more attention than it gets. The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Oakmoss and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Truffle and Peach — bright and immediately recognizable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.
