   I picked up Bright Crystal Absolu (2013) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The heart is the best part for me: Peony and Raspberry feel carefully balanced. The first minutes are all about Pomegranate with a hint of Yuzu — it grabs attention without being pushy. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   A friend passed me a decant of Bright Crystal Absolu (2013) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The heart is the best part for me: Peony and Raspberry feel carefully balanced. As it settles, Musk and Mahogany come through and give it real depth. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Peony with Raspberry, which is where the fragrance really shines. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I picked up Bright Crystal Absolu (2013) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. That first spray gives a lovely Pomegranate/Yuzu impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Pomegranate alongside Yuzu, fresh and very easy to wear. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. The composition is well made but not for me.

Right away I get mostly Pomegranate alongside Yuzu, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I wanted to like it more than I did.
