My first Versace experience was this one, Yellow Diamond (2011). That first spray gives a lovely Amalfi Lemon/Pear impression that dries down smoothly. As it settles, Musk and Guaiac Wood come through and give it real depth. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Well done β€” recommended if the notes appeal to you.

I have owned Yellow Diamond for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Right away I get mostly Amalfi Lemon alongside Pear, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Amalfi Lemon with a hint of Pear β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

A friend passed me a decant of Yellow Diamond (2011) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The base rests on Musk and Guaiac Wood β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. Give it a little time and Mimosa with Freesia comes forward β€” smooth and well done. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

I keep reaching for Yellow Diamond more than I expected to. The base rests on Musk and Guaiac Wood β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown leans on Musk plus Guaiac Wood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I wanted to like it more than I did.

I picked up Yellow Diamond (2011) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The very first sniff is crisp Amalfi Lemon with Pear peeking through, very much my kind of start. The opening is built around Amalfi Lemon and Pear β€” bright and immediately recognizable. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

Picked up a sample of Yellow Diamond after reading the community buzz (2011). As it settles, Musk and Guaiac Wood come through and give it real depth. The heart is the best part for me: Mimosa and Freesia feel carefully balanced. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I would happily buy a full bottle.

Versace knows how to compose, and Yellow Diamond (2011) is proof. The first minutes are all about Amalfi Lemon with a hint of Pear β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. The heart is the best part for me: Mimosa and Freesia feel carefully balanced. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

The first minutes are all about Amalfi Lemon with a hint of Pear β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. As it settles, Musk and Guaiac Wood come through and give it real depth. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

The drydown leans on Musk plus Guaiac Wood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

Everyone keeps talking about Yellow Diamond, so I finally gave it a proper test. The opening is built around Amalfi Lemon and Pear β€” bright and immediately recognizable. Right away I get mostly Amalfi Lemon alongside Pear, fresh and very easy to wear. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

Everyone keeps talking about Yellow Diamond, so I finally gave it a proper test. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Mimosa with Freesia, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Amalfi Lemon/Pear impression that dries down smoothly. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

For a 2011 release, Yellow Diamond deserves more attention than it gets. Right away I get mostly Amalfi Lemon alongside Pear, fresh and very easy to wear.
