   Yves Rocher knows how to compose, and Iris Noir (2007) is proof. The opening is built around Coriander and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. Right away I get mostly Coriander alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   A friend passed me a decant of Iris Noir (2007) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The opening is built around Coriander and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. Give it a little time and Iris with Ambrette (Musk Mallow) comes forward — smooth and well done. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   Yves Rocher knows how to compose, and Iris Noir (2007) is proof. That first spray gives a lovely Coriander/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Tonka Bean and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   Picked up a sample of Iris Noir after reading the community buzz (2007). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Iris with Ambrette (Musk Mallow), which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Iris and Ambrette (Musk Mallow) feel carefully balanced. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.
