   Picked up a sample of Nuit after reading the community buzz (2013). The heart is the best part for me: Palisander Rosewood and Big Strawberry feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Palisander Rosewood with Big Strawberry comes forward — smooth and well done. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. The composition is well made but not for me.

   My first Zara experience was this one, Nuit (2013). The opening is built around Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. The base rests on Vanila and Amber — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   My first Zara experience was this one, Nuit (2013). The base rests on Vanila and Amber — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Palisander Rosewood with Big Strawberry, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   A friend passed me a decant of Nuit (2013) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Right away I get mostly Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. That first spray gives a lovely Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   Zara knows how to compose, and Nuit (2013) is proof. That first spray gives a lovely Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot, very much my kind of start. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.
