   Everyone keeps talking about 9am Dive, so I finally gave it a proper test. The opening is built around Lemon and Mint — bright and immediately recognizable. The base rests on Ginger and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I picked up 9am Dive (2022) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The base rests on Ginger and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The very first sniff is crisp Lemon with Mint peeking through, very much my kind of start. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   My first Afnan experience was this one, 9am Dive (2022). The drydown leans on Ginger plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Lemon and Mint — bright and immediately recognizable. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. The composition is well made but not for me.

   A couple of wears in, 9am Dive has really grown on me. That first spray gives a lovely Lemon/Mint impression that dries down smoothly. As it settles, Ginger and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   For a 2022 release, 9am Dive deserves more attention than it gets. The first minutes are all about Lemon with a hint of Mint — it grabs attention without being pushy. That first spray gives a lovely Lemon/Mint impression that dries down smoothly. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   Picked up a sample of 9am Dive after reading the community buzz (2022). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Apple with Cedar, which is where the fragrance really shines. The base rests on Ginger and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   A friend passed me a decant of 9am Dive (2022) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Right away I get mostly Lemon alongside Mint, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown leans on Ginger plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
