   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Amor Amor. That first spray gives a lovely Black Currant/Orange impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Black Currant alongside Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I picked up Amor Amor (2003) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The first minutes are all about Black Currant with a hint of Orange — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Tonka Bean and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose with Apricot, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.
