   For a 2011 release, Royal Oud deserves more attention than it gets. The drydown leans on Sandalwood plus Agarwood (Oud) and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The first minutes are all about Pink Pepper with a hint of Lemon — it grabs attention without being pushy. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   Picked up a sample of Royal Oud after reading the community buzz (2011). As it settles, Sandalwood and Agarwood (Oud) come through and give it real depth. Give it a little time and Cedar with Angelica comes forward — smooth and well done. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I’ve been wearing Royal Oud on and off for a few weeks now (2011). As it settles, Sandalwood and Agarwood (Oud) come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Cedar with Angelica, which is where the fragrance really shines. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   A couple of wears in, Royal Oud has really grown on me. Right away I get mostly Pink Pepper alongside Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. The opening is built around Pink Pepper and Lemon — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.
