   Dita von Teese knows how to compose, and Dita von Teese (2011) is proof. That first spray gives a lovely Peony/Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. The first minutes are all about Peony with a hint of Pepper — it grabs attention without being pushy. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I’ve been wearing Dita von Teese on and off for a few weeks now (2011). That first spray gives a lovely Peony/Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. The heart is the best part for me: Jasmine and Rose feel carefully balanced. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I keep reaching for Dita von Teese more than I expected to. The very first sniff is crisp Peony with Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. Right away I get mostly Peony alongside Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Dita von Teese. Give it a little time and Jasmine with Rose comes forward — smooth and well done. The opening is built around Peony and Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

The opening is built around Peony and Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

The drydown leans on Incense plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

Give it a little time and Jasmine with Rose comes forward — smooth and well done. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.
