   A decant of Dolce Violet sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The very first sniff is crisp Cassis with Cyclamen peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Cassis with a hint of Cyclamen — it grabs attention without being pushy. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I keep reaching for Dolce Violet more than I expected to. The drydown leans on Musk plus Madagascar Vanilla and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The very first sniff is crisp Cassis with Cyclamen peeking through, very much my kind of start. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   A friend passed me a decant of Dolce Violet (2023) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The base rests on Musk and Madagascar Vanilla — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The opening is built around Cassis and Cyclamen — bright and immediately recognizable. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.
