I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about L’Humaniste. The first minutes are all about Amalfi Lemon with a hint of Bergamot β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. Give it a little time and Juniper Berries with Nutmeg comes forward β€” smooth and well done. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

I’ve been wearing L’Humaniste on and off for a few weeks now (2009). The drydown leans on Gin plus Oakmoss and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The first minutes are all about Amalfi Lemon with a hint of Bergamot β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

For a 2009 release, L’Humaniste deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Juniper Berries with Nutmeg, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Juniper Berries and Nutmeg feel carefully balanced. It performs better in warmer weather β€” in the heat it opens up nicely. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

My first Frapin experience was this one, L’Humaniste (2009). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Juniper Berries with Nutmeg, which is where the fragrance really shines. The first minutes are all about Amalfi Lemon with a hint of Bergamot β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

For a 2009 release, L’Humaniste deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Juniper Berries with Nutmeg, which is where the fragrance really shines. The very first sniff is crisp Amalfi Lemon with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

A friend passed me a decant of L’Humaniste (2009) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The first minutes are all about Amalfi Lemon with a hint of Bergamot β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown leans on Gin plus Oakmoss and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

Picked up a sample of L’Humaniste after reading the community buzz (2009). The very first sniff is crisp Amalfi Lemon with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. Give it a little time and Juniper Berries with Nutmeg comes forward β€” smooth and well done. It performs better in warmer weather β€” in the heat it opens up nicely. I would happily buy a full bottle.

Picked up a sample of L’Humaniste after reading the community buzz (2009). That first spray gives a lovely Amalfi Lemon/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Amalfi Lemon alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about L’Humaniste. The opening is built around Amalfi Lemon and Bergamot β€” bright and immediately recognizable. The heart is the best part for me: Juniper Berries and Nutmeg feel carefully balanced. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

Everyone keeps talking about L’Humaniste, so I finally gave it a proper test. Right away I get mostly Amalfi Lemon alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Amalfi Lemon with a hint of Bergamot β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.
