   I have owned HiM for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Right away I get mostly Violet Leaf alongside Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. The very first sniff is crisp Violet Leaf with Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   For a 2012 release, HiM deserves more attention than it gets. Right away I get mostly Violet Leaf alongside Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. Give it a little time and Cinnamon with Tonka Bean comes forward — smooth and well done. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I’ve been wearing HiM on and off for a few weeks now (2012). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Cinnamon with Tonka Bean, which is where the fragrance really shines. The first minutes are all about Violet Leaf with a hint of Pepper — it grabs attention without being pushy. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   Everyone keeps talking about HiM, so I finally gave it a proper test. The heart is the best part for me: Cinnamon and Tonka Bean feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Cinnamon with Tonka Bean, which is where the fragrance really shines. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I have owned HiM for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The drydown leans on Amber plus White Cedar Extract and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The base rests on Amber and White Cedar Extract — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   My first Hanae Mori experience was this one, HiM (2012). The opening is built around Violet Leaf and Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. The very first sniff is crisp Violet Leaf with Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.
