   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Paula’s Ibiza. Right away I get mostly Coconut alongside Galbanum, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Coconut with a hint of Galbanum — it grabs attention without being pushy. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Paula’s Ibiza. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Driftwood with Frangipani, which is where the fragrance really shines. As it settles, Ambergris and Patchouli come through and give it real depth. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   Loewe knows how to compose, and Paula’s Ibiza (2020) is proof. Give it a little time and Driftwood with Frangipani comes forward — smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Driftwood and Frangipani feel carefully balanced. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   Picked up a sample of Paula’s Ibiza after reading the community buzz (2020). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Driftwood with Frangipani, which is where the fragrance really shines. Right away I get mostly Coconut alongside Galbanum, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. The composition is well made but not for me.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Driftwood with Frangipani, which is where the fragrance really shines. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

    I have owned Paula’s Ibiza for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The drydown leans on Ambergris plus Patchouli and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Right away I get mostly Coconut alongside Galbanum, fresh and very easy to wear. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.
