I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Zaad. That first spray gives a lovely Green Notes/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Cedar with Indonesian Nutmeg, which is where the fragrance really shines. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I wanted to like it more than I did.

I’ve been wearing Zaad on and off for a few weeks now (2006). That first spray gives a lovely Green Notes/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Cedar with Indonesian Nutmeg, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

Everyone keeps talking about Zaad, so I finally gave it a proper test. Right away I get mostly Green Notes alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. That first spray gives a lovely Green Notes/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

A friend passed me a decant of Zaad (2006) and I wasn’t prepared for it. As it settles, Musk and Serbian oakmoss come through and give it real depth. The first minutes are all about Green Notes with a hint of Bergamot — it grabs attention without being pushy. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

I keep reaching for Zaad more than I expected to. Give it a little time and Cedar with Indonesian Nutmeg comes forward — smooth and well done. As it settles, Musk and Serbian oakmoss come through and give it real depth. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I would happily buy a full bottle.

I picked up Zaad (2006) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. As it settles, Musk and Serbian oakmoss come through and give it real depth. The heart is the best part for me: Cedar and Indonesian Nutmeg feel carefully balanced. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

O Boticário knows how to compose, and Zaad (2006) is proof. Give it a little time and Cedar with Indonesian Nutmeg comes forward — smooth and well done. The very first sniff is crisp Green Notes with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

I keep reaching for Zaad more than I expected to. The heart is the best part for me: Cedar and Indonesian Nutmeg feel carefully balanced. The opening is built around Green Notes and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

Right away I get mostly Green Notes alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

I have owned Zaad for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The drydown leans on Musk plus Serbian oakmoss and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Green Notes and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

A decant of Zaad sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. That first spray gives a lovely Green Notes/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. The base rests on Musk and Serbian oakmoss — warm, grounded and easy to live with. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.
