   Everyone keeps talking about Paradoxe Intense, so I finally gave it a proper test. As it settles, Bourbon Vanilla and Vanilla come through and give it real depth. The base rests on Bourbon Vanilla and Vanilla — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   My first Prada experience was this one, Paradoxe Intense (2023). That first spray gives a lovely Pear/Neroli impression that dries down smoothly. The first minutes are all about Pear with a hint of Neroli — it grabs attention without being pushy. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I have owned Paradoxe Intense for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The very first sniff is crisp Pear with Neroli peeking through, very much my kind of start. The heart is the best part for me: Jasmine and Neroli Essence feel carefully balanced. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   A couple of wears in, Paradoxe Intense has really grown on me. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Jasmine with Neroli Essence, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown leans on Bourbon Vanilla plus Vanilla and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

The opening is built around Pear and Neroli — bright and immediately recognizable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. The composition is well made but not for me.
