   A decant of Rose d’Amalfi sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The opening is built around Pink Pepper and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. Right away I get mostly Pink Pepper alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   I have owned Rose d’Amalfi for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. That first spray gives a lovely Pink Pepper/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   Tom Ford knows how to compose, and Rose d’Amalfi (2022) is proof. Give it a little time and Rose comes forward — smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Rose feel carefully balanced. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
