   I’ve been wearing Valentina on and off for a few weeks now (2011). Right away I get mostly Truffle alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Truffle with a hint of Bergamot — it grabs attention without being pushy. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I picked up Valentina (2011) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The opening is built around Truffle and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Strawberry with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

The very first sniff is crisp Truffle with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.
